Syntax

The syntax is one of the major components of grammar. It’s the concept that enables people to know how to start a question with a question word ما هذا؟ which means (“What is that?”), or that adjectives come after the nouns they describe.  بنت جميلة (“Beautiful girl”), subjects often come before verbs in non-question sentences هي لعبت (“She played”), prepositional phrases start with prepositions الى العمل (“to work”).

Arabic adjectives

The most common position for adjectives is after the noun. Adjectives in that position agree with the noun in gender, number, case, and definiteness.
